about
Fob clothing is a group of guys located in southern california. Originally started as seniors in high school,
we learned how to screenprint
after observing that large companies must slam small organizations with large minimums, setup fees,
and more just to get a few shirts printed. As a beginning clothing company, we knew there must be a way
around this. We needed a way to experiment with our designs without limitation. During the summer of 2004-2005,
a small wooden press was purchased by 3 people to divide the cost of approximately $300usd. I tried first,
failing much and losing hope but with lots of trial and error, some support forums, and effort I was able
to complete a successful photoemulsion cure. I, in turn, taught a few friends and the rest is history.
So far, Fob clothing has sold over 100 shirts of our own hand stroked silkscreen designs. We don't have the desire
nor the expertise to become a conglomorate, its way too much of a headache to deal with. We'd rather sell a few of
our favorite designs here and there and teach some other kids how they can make their own on the way.
Recently, we've become much interested in other expressions of art other than screenprinting including stenciling and
acryllics. As creativity advocates, we couldn't help but become increasingly fascinated by these other fields. Fob clothing may
sometimes appear to be an arbitrary outlet of a few people's minds rather than a clothing company, but it's for that
reason that we will survive the test of time and won't wither away like a fad.
