reason

Fob clothing was created to test the abilities of the young. Since when do large corporations have the right to dictate what we can or cannot do? The young mind, although more immature at times, is entirely capable if not more capable of anything an adult can do. Through experience, trial and error, and initiative, youths learn faster than adults; this is proven.
I personally am a fan of clothes. I like to buy good looking clothes cheap. At one point I was looking around at local stores and was dissapointed with what I saw in design or dissapointed with the prices of shirts that looked good. Everything is a cliche these days. Even fob clothing is sort of a cliche and that fact is inescapable. The whole point is that I looked at what I saw, didn't like it, so now I got friends together and we produce our own clothing. Such initiative is what everyone should take.

This sort of observation doesn't only span across clothing. Particularly, it is quite prevalent in music as well. Typical scenario unfolds: genre emerges, it is underground. genre becomes popular, but still underground. genre is sought after by "unique individuals," genre grows. genre is sought after by "the general trendy public," and becomes watered down littered with people who aren't about the ideology of the music but the image attached to it. corporations see this new genre as a business opportunity for exploit. genre becomes nationwide popular. genre becomes cliche, and vanishes. the cycle continues.

If you take a look at history, this happend with ska in the late 90's, then came skater punk, then emo, and now the big thing is indie. If anyone had enough sense to quit paying attention to the industry and do their own thing, we would all be a lot better off, but this genre classification paradigm is unavoidable. Although big business is the source of undoubtably good music, clothing, and a bleached version of American popculture, kids must take initiative to fix things where others have failed. Take a look around at the world and if you see something wrong, inadequate, or just fucking lame, then fix it. Nothing is out of your reach. With like $100.00 of seed money you can do a lot more than buy a pair of skater shoes.

Fob Clothing just stands for making quality stuff. Everything we do can be handpressed in a household garage. Now with our newly aquired warehouse space, it gives us the advantage of space to comfortably make clean prints. Please support your fellow youth, do a favor for yourself, and check out our line of clothes... then make your own.
